The Quantum Foundation˸ Ballistic vs Wave is a smaller VRChat world by K_Cat, released in August 2023. It runs on PC, Quest, and holds up to 32 players per instance.

This project demonstrates the effectiveness of a momentum-based quantum scattering model in reproducing the stochastic fringe patterns observed in quantum experiments․ A quantum rule proposed by William Duane in 1923 and further developed in 1926 was largely dismissed by mainstream theorists as unnecessary․ However‚ Carolyne Van Vliet showed in work published in 1967 and 2010 that Duane's rule can be derived from quantum theory by considering the slit screen as undergoing a quantised momentum transition․ Particle simulations based on Van Vliet's work are presented alongside wave diffraction simulations to highlight their close agreement in the patterns they generate․
